Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice

Last updated: 16 August 2026. These terms govern your use of Movidou (the “Service”) and explain how we process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are and what we provide

This Service is operated by Movidou (“Movidou”, “we”, “us”), the seller of the reports offered on this site. By continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. You can reach us at support@movidou.com.

Movidou generates personalised international relocation roadmaps: timelines, document lists, housing, schooling, healthcare, banking and administrative guidance, plus indicative cost estimates, based on the answers you provide and our curated country knowledge base.

Reports are informational planning tools. They are not legal, immigration, tax, financial or medical advice, and Movidou is not a law firm or a licensed immigration adviser. Rules change frequently and individual circumstances vary. Always verify critical steps with the relevant official authority or a qualified professional before acting.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may not use the Service unlawfully, attempt to circumvent payment or access controls, scrape the knowledge base, or resell reports without our written permission.

3. Plans, payments and refunds

Paid plans are one-off purchases for a single relocation report at the price shown at checkout, in euro and inclusive of applicable taxes where stated.

Movidou is the seller of record for all orders placed on this site. Card payments are securely processed on our behalf by Stripe, our payment service provider, under Stripe’s terms. We never see or store your full card details. All billing, tax and refund questions are handled by Movidou directly at support@movidou.com.

Reports are digital content delivered immediately, so at checkout you confirm you want access straight away. See our Refund Policy for statutory withdrawal, defective reports and how to request a refund. If a report fails to generate or is materially defective, we will regenerate it or refund your purchase.

3a. No legal or immigration advice

Movidou provides automated planning information, not legal or immigration advice. Always verify immigration requirements with the relevant authorities or a qualified professional. Reports, scores and timelines are generated automatically from your answers and our knowledge base; requirements change and individual circumstances vary. We are not a law firm or a regulated immigration adviser, no client relationship is created, and you remain responsible for decisions you take based on the Service.

4. Intellectual property and your content

Movidou owns the platform, knowledge base, scoring methodology and report templates. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use your generated report and PDF for your own relocation. You keep ownership of the answers and documents you submit and grant us a licence to process them solely to deliver the Service.

5. Data controller and contact

Movidou is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. For any privacy request, contact privacy@movidou.com. Stripe processes payment and card data as our payment service provider. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

6. What personal data we process

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, sign-in timestamps.
  • Questionnaire data: origin and destination country and city, nationality, household composition including number and ages of children, marital status, move date, visa or employment pathway, housing intention, budgets, preferences and any special considerations you choose to enter (for example pets, elderly relatives, remote work, accessibility needs).
  • Report and usage data: generated plans, checklist progress, drafts saved in your browser, purchase and entitlement records.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and error logs used to keep the Service secure and working.

Some answers, such as accessibility or health-related needs, may be special category data under Article 9 GDPR. You are never required to provide them; where you do, we process them on the basis of your explicit consent and only to tailor your report. You can remove them at any time by editing your answers.

8. Automated processing and AI

Your report and readiness score are produced with automated reasoning over your answers and our country knowledge base. Scoring is deterministic and explained in the “How your Movidou score is calculated” panel. This processing does not produce legal effects or similarly significant decisions about you within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, it is guidance you remain free to act on or ignore. Your questionnaire answers are sent to our AI processing provider solely to generate your report and are not used to train third-party models.

9. Recipients and international transfers

We share personal data only with processors acting on our instructions: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, our AI report-generation provider, our payment provider, and email delivery. Each is bound by a data processing agreement. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.

10. Retention

Account and report data is kept while your account is active and for up to 24 months after your last activity, so you can revisit your roadmap. Invoicing records are kept as long as tax law requires (typically 7 to 10 years). Draft answers stored in your browser stay on your device until you clear them or start fresh. You can request deletion sooner at any time.

11. Your GDPR rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing, and the right not to receive marketing. Write to privacy@movidou.com; we respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

12. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to save your unfinished questionnaire on your device. These are required for the Service to work. We do not set advertising cookies. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first.

13. Security

Access to your data is restricted by authentication and row-level database policies so that you can only read and write your own plans. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; please tell us immediately at privacy@movidou.com if you suspect a problem with your account.

14. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Movidou is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, missed deadlines, visa refusals, or decisions made in reliance on a report. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant report. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

14a. Digital content conformity and complaints

Your report is digital content supplied to a consumer. Under EU Directive 2019/770 and the equivalent national rules of your country of residence, it must match the description shown before purchase and be fit for the purpose it is sold for. If it is not, you can ask us to bring it into conformity (we regenerate the report) and, if that fails or is disproportionate, you can request a price reduction or a refund as set out in our Refund Policy. These statutory rights are free of charge and are not limited by anything in these terms.

To complain, write to support@movidou.com with your order reference. We acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the consumer protection or alternative dispute resolution body in your country of residence; nothing here removes your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country.

14b. Availability and force majeure

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third party outages, or events outside our reasonable control may interrupt report generation. If a paid report cannot be generated, we regenerate it or refund you.

15. Changes, law and jurisdiction

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and the “last updated” date above will change. These terms are governed by the law of our place of establishment, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
